Habitat Photosphere, by the India Habitat Centre or IHC, was a unique biennial photo-festival that brought together the spheres of photography and sustainability through a fellowship, mentorship, exhibitions, workshops, talks and more. Spread across nine acres, the IHC campus weaves in a unique interplay of institutions, supporting infrastructure and facilities. This proved an exciting challenge.
I was the project director for a year long photography grant and mentorship program that culminated in a month long photography and art festival. This took place at the historic India Habitat Centre, one of the premier cultural institutes in India. Had to be on my toes to keep all the balls in the air for the month long grand finale of photography exhibition of winners and mentors, workshops and events.
Carried off the first edition of the festival from concept to execution under the mentorship of eminent art curator Dr Alka Pande
Curated and coordinated with 11 international artists and 4 mentors for the grant and exhibition
Supported the exhibition design
Executed all the fundraising and budgeting
Smoothly executed stakeholder management
Developed and executed content strategies across digital platforms such as websites, blogs, social media etc for PR and publicity
